Varun Dhawan gets appreciation from Colonel Hoshiar Singh Dahiya’s family for Border 2 teaser
The family of Param Vir Chakra awardee Colonel Hoshiar Singh Dahiya has praised Varun Dhawan’s portrayal after the teaser of ‘Border 2’ was released. The late war hero’s son Colonel Sushil Singh Dahiya and granddaughter Anushka Dahiya praised Varun.

Varun Dhawan is all set to play the role of Colonel Hoshiar Singh Dahiya (Param Vir Chakra awardee) in his upcoming war film, Border 2. The teaser of the film was unveiled on November 16, 2025. Now, Colonel Dahiya’s family has come forward expressing their positive reaction for Varun after watching the teaser of the film.
Son of gallantry award recipient, Colonel Sushil Kumar Dahiya expressed his appreciation with his family, saying, “We have just seen the teaser of Border 2 and definitely Varun Dhawan has done it justice. The teaser looks very promising, and having our heritage told with so much emotion and honesty is really special for me and my family. Extremely excited to watch the film. All the best to you and the entire team for the film.”
The late war hero’s granddaughter Anushka Dahiya also praised Varun and shared his picture on her Instagram story. She captioned it, “We are all so proud and excited for the film. The hard work, honesty and passion really reflects in the teaser itself!”
According to the teaser, Border 2 is based on the 1971 timeline, which is inspired by true events that happened during the India-Pakistan war. Apart from Varun, Sunny Deol, Ahan Shetty, Diljit Dosanjh, Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana and Anya Singh are playing important roles in the film.
