Ustad Bhagat Singh Opening Day Box Office: Pawan Kalyan’s action drama disappoints with Rs 40 crore worldwide on first day

Ustad Bhagat Singh had a disappointing debut and earned only Rs. Earning Rs 40 crore at the worldwide box office. The film starring Pawan Kalyan has collected approximately Rs. 35 Crore from domestic markets, while the remaining US$550K came from international sectors.

Directed by Harish Shankar, the Telugu action film did well but did not do well in terms of collections, which are low compared to big star films these days. Compared to Pawan Kalyan’s previous outing, They Call Him OG, the opening day of Ustad Bhagat Singh seems dwarfed. For the record, OG opened at Rs. Earning Rs 131 crore globally.

Breaking down his collection, Ustad Bhagat Singh collected around Rs. 17.50 crore from Andhra, while Nizam and Ceded received approximately Rs. 14 crores to the tally. The film also found audiences outside its home state. It earned approximately Rs. Earned Rs. Rs 2.75 crore from Karnataka. 40 lakh from Tamil Nadu and Kerala combined. Rest of Indian market only Rs. Can contribute. Overall 35 lakhs on opening day.

The film has received an average response among the audience, which has sealed its fate at the box office. However, with the Eid holidays approaching, the film may do well over the weekend. It will be interesting to see how far the film can go from here.
