The family of a 14-year-old student claims in a lawsuit that a California schoolteacher named Michelle Christine Solis, 46, groomed and sexually assaulted their son on graduation day at Sycamore Middle School. The family alleges that the sexual assault has left the boy traumatized.

The boy’s attorney, Mark Boscovich, told the local outlet that the sexual abuse has traumatized the boy and has had a lasting impact on him.
“He was back in a classroom where he had no control over the situation and felt helpless,” Mr Boscovich told the Bee.
Solis, a teacher for 20 years, was sentenced to four years in prison in July 2024. She is serving her sentence at the Central California Women’s Facility in Chowchilla.
