The S&P 500 and Nasdaq opened higher on Thursday, as lower Broadcom revenue weighed on chip stocks, while equity investors breathed a sigh of relief after a strong rally to record highs.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened up 299.0 points, or 0.59%, at 50,986.1. The S&P 500 fell 37.1 points, or 0.49%, to 7,516.54 at the opening bell, while the Nasdaq Composite shed 274.7 points, or 1.02%, to 26,579.297.
