‘Unjust Iranian attack’: Kuwait’s ministry complex building targeted in ‘hostile’ drone strike; Watch

Kuwait’s ministry complex building and the Shuwaikh oil field complex were targeted in the drone attack on Sunday. The country’s Finance Ministry said the attack on the “ministry building complex” was caused by a “hostile drone strike” as a result of “unjustified Iranian aggression”. Video of the attack showed flames coming out of a part of the Shuwaikh oil field complex. Officials confirmed that no casualties have been reported so far.“The Ministry of Finance has announced that the building of the Ministry Complex in Kuwait City was targeted by a hostile drone on Saturday evening, April 4, 2026, as a result of the unjustified Iranian aggression. This resulted in significant material damage to the building, no human injuries were reported, praise God. Emergency teams and relevant authorities immediately responded to the incident as per approved procedures, the Finance Ministry said in a statement on Twitter.Kuwait’s military said its air defense systems are actively intercepting incoming missiles and drones, as Iran continues its offensive across the Gulf in response to US-Israeli attacks.“Kuwaiti Air Defense is currently responding to hostile missile and drone threats,” the Kuwaiti military posted on Twitter, adding that any explosions heard were the result of air defense interception.Gulf countries, including Kuwait, have come under Iranian attacks in retaliation for the February 28 attacks by the United States and Israel, which has since escalated into a wider regional conflict.
