Kannada actor Upendra’s UI releases in theaters today. This film has been one of the most awaited films of the year. It has also reportedly been made on a massive budget of Rs 100 crore. Needless to say, the film is expected to perform well at the box office.
If trends are to be believed, UI may earn around Rs 7.5 on its opening day. According to tracking website Sacnilk, the film has already earned over Rs 4.96 crore across all languages. This is not taking into account night shows, which are enjoyed by a large section of the audience as it is a working day.
For the Kannada version, the film had earned a whopping 66.63 percent by the evening show. There is also a possibility that UI may not be able to surpass the opening day collections of their previous release Kabza. Kabzaa grossed over Rs 10 crore. Here is the trailer of the UI:

Produced by G Manohar and KP Srikanth under the banner of Lahari Films, the film is co-produced by Naveen Manohar, who is also credited with excellent VFX work. The music is composed by B Ajaneesh Loknath. Apart from Kannada, this film has also been released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
