The re -release trend has recently captured the country. A trend that achieved traction from the dramatic release of iconic South Indian films such as ‘Ghili’, ‘Indra’, ‘Murari’, ‘Jackie’ and more, made its way for Bollywood soon. ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayange’, ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’, ‘Karan Arjun’ as well as recently reputed films like ‘Ye Javani Hai Deewani’, ‘Jab We Met’, ‘Rockstar’ and more witnesses such as show-out shows like their appearance.

Films like ‘Tambbad’ and ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’, which were not successful at the box office during their opening runs, were made up of large-scale box office successes after their recent re-localize. Directed by Upendra, starring Shiv Rajkumar – both superstars of their own merit in the Kannada film industry – ‘Om’ is a milestone in both his respected career as well as the industry. Even after 30 years of its release, being one of the most talked about Kannada films about Kannada films, this prestigious film deserves to re -release!

Ugram – 2014

Every time Prashant Neel’s ‘Salar: Part 1-Sangharsh’, the first film of the director, starring Prabas Re-team, on which it is 2023 Super-Hit based. Despite facing several obstacles before its dramatic release, as revealed by Prashant himself, ‘Ugram’ created enthusiasm on its release in 2014. The Agastya played by Kannada star Shri Murali became a pop culture icon of Kannada cinema. Ram Shama Bhama – 2005

Starring Ramesh Arvind, Kamal Haasan, Urvashi and Daisy Bopana, this comedy entertainer is a Kannada film, which units on TV whenever an entire family. Even after two decades of its dramatic release, comedy still has its own attraction, making the right film to be re -released in theaters. The film was released in theaters on December 9, 2005, and will be a correct way to celebrate its 20 -year anniversary again in December 2025.

Apthamitra – 2004

Dr. Vishnuvardhan will always be one of the heads of Mount Rashmore of the greatest Kannada actors. ‘Apthamitra’ is one of his most prestigious films, which had run in theaters across Karnataka for 365 days and was the most Kannada film at that time. To see the prestigious comedy combination between Vishnu Dada’s Sidekik with a very cool opening shot between Vishnuvardhan and Dwarkish – how indifferent will be to see all this on the big screen once again!

Shabdwedi – 2000

Dr. Rajkumar was a legend – the biggest name in the Kannada film industry – and will always be. He was such a big name that when he was kidnapped by the dreaded Veerappan in mid -2000, the entire state of Karnataka came into a halt, throwing the state government in a halt. Rajkumar’s ‘Shabdvedi’, released in February 2000, was Rajkumar’s last film. The dramatic release of a remaster version of the film, as 25 years of its original release, would be a correct way to pay an Ode to this legend of Indian cinema.
