UAE condemns Iranian attacks

The United Arab Emirates on Sunday strongly condemned new Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting Bahrain and Kuwait, calling them a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of both countries and a serious threat to regional security and stability. In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed its full solidarity with Bahrain and Kuwait and expressed support for all measures aimed at maintaining their security, stability and the protection of their citizens.

Bahrain says attack reflects pattern of aggression

Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned what it described as the latest Iranian attack on the kingdom, saying its territory had once again been targeted by ballistic missiles and drones. The ministry said the latest attack confirmed Bahrain’s prior warnings about Tehran’s actions, and said Iran has continued its attacks despite international condemnation and previous commitments. It stressed that repeated attacks will neither bring any new realities nor weaken the resolve of the state.Describing the attack as a “dangerous escalation”, Bahrain accused Iran of pursuing a deliberate and systematic pattern of aggression against the state’s sovereignty and the security of its citizens and residents.

Kuwait intercepted two ballistic missiles

Kuwait’s Defense Ministry said its forces detected two hostile ballistic missiles in the country’s airspace at dawn and intercepted them in line with standard operating procedures.Meanwhile, Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry condemned the repeated and “heinous” Iranian aggression against the country, warning that such actions threaten regional peace and security.

These attacks come after the latest US action against Iran

The attacks came amid rising tensions between Tehran and Washington. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard launched missile and drone strikes on Sunday, saying they were in response to recent US air strikes on Iranian military targets.Earlier, US Central Command said it had struck Iranian military surveillance infrastructure, communications systems, air defense sites, drone storage facilities and minelayer capabilities following an attack on a commercial tanker in the Gulf region.US President Donald Trump accused Iran of violating the ceasefire agreement and warned that continued provocations could lead to a strong US military response.

There is a possibility of increasing tension in the Strait of Hormuz

The latest developments come against the backdrop of rising tensions in and around the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important energy shipping routes.A multinational maritime organization overseen by the US Navy has recently expanded a shipping corridor near Oman to facilitate maritime traffic through the waterway. Iran has opposed the arrangement and insists it must maintain control over passage through the strait, raising fears of a wider conflict in the Gulf.

Revolutionary Guard issued warning

Claiming responsibility for the attacks, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said it had targeted Al Asad Air Base in Kuwait and warned that further violations of the ceasefire would lead to a “complete breakdown” of ongoing diplomatic efforts.According to a report by Khaleej TimesThe UAE reiterated its unwavering support for Bahrain and Kuwait, stressing the importance of safeguarding regional stability amid the latest tensions. Both Gulf countries condemned the attacks and vowed to take all necessary measures to protect their national security, the report said. The Revolutionary Guard, which oversees Iran’s ballistic missile program and answers directly to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, is believed to be playing an increasingly influential role in Tehran’s security and military strategy.
