Twinkle Khanna told Akshay Kumar that if he dies, he should eat poisonous grass.
Twinkle Khanna recently shared what she learned about relationships by looking at animals. She also told Akshay Kumar that if she dies, he should eat poisonous grass instead of marrying again.

Actress-turned-author Twinkle Khanna, known for her witty writings, recently revealed that she had told her husband Akshay Kumar to “eat poisonous grass” if she dies. She also revealed that she had threatened Akshay to do so if he thought of remarrying after her death.
In his latest column The Times of IndiaTwinkle mentioned her recent trip to Tanzania, where she learnt a few things about marriage after observing animals during a jungle safari. She spoke about her encounter with the ‘tik-tik’ birds, who, according to the jungle guide, are so devoted to each other that they eat poisonous grass and die if another bird dies.
After knowing about him, Twinkle had told Akshay, “Aacha“If I die first, you’d better eat the poison grass too. If I see your second wife walking around with my handbag, I promise I’ll come and harass both of you.”
Akshay at that time offered to eat poisonous grass instead of listening to Twinkle’s nonsense.
In her column, Twinkle also wrote about the different viewpoints that she and Akshay have. She shared an anecdote of watching a herd of elephants during a jungle safari where the male elephant was walking way ahead of the female elephant who was walking with her babies. Seeing this, while Akshay sympathised with the male elephant for being “alone”, Twinkle wondered how female elephants have the responsibility of taking care of their babies while the male elephants have the freedom to roam around as they please.
After hearing her husband’s different viewpoint, Twinkle said, “I think this is what marriage is all about in a nutshell.”
Akshay Kumar married Twinkle Khanna on 17 January 2001. They have two children: son Aarav and daughter Nitara.
