Twenty One Box Office Extended Opening Week: Agastya Nanda’s military drama seals fate, earns Rs 21.50 crore in 8 days

Twenty one remained stable on Thursday, and added Rs. 80 lakhs to tally. The military drama starring Agastya Nanda, Simar Bhatia, Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat and others performed disappointingly in its opening week, earning only Rs. Earning Rs 21.60 crore at the Indian box office. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, this film could not impress the audience much, which is why it did not see any growth in the initial week.

Although these collections are not that bad for a film starring a newcomer, they are shocking when its production cost and other expenses are considered. Looking at the current trends, it will be difficult for Agastya Nanda’s film to even reach Rs. 30 crore net figure in his lifetime. If the film had received strong word-of-mouth, it would have had a chance of making respectable earnings. Sadly, twenty one has already decided his fate, which is not favourable.

The first film of the year, Ekis, flopped at the box office, but at that time there was a belief in the industry that the first release of the year does not work.
