Adarsh Gourav and Shanaya Kapoor starrer Tu Ya Main recorded a good 60 percent jump on its second day thanks to Valentine’s Day. After taking opening of Rs. The film added Rs 60 lakh. Earned Rs 1.65 crore on the second day, taking the total earning to Rs. Earning 2.25 crores at Indian box office.
Financed by Color Yellow Productions and Bhanushali Studios, its turnover grew by 2.5 times but the starting point was Rs. 60 lakh, this could have led to an even bigger increase on Valentine’s Day. If Sunday can be a good trend, there may be a possibility, but moving on to Valentine’s Day is probably a tough task. Based on current trends, the opening weekend of Tu Ya Main is likely to be around Rs. 3.20 to Rs. 3.50 crores based on 3rd day trend.
The creature/horror survival thriller is clashing with O’Romeo, a relatively big film, starring Shahid Kapoor. That said, its screen count is comparatively low with no star value attached. However, if it remains strong on weekdays with word of mouth publicity, it may get a respectable performance.

For those unaware, the film Tu Ya Main is the story of a young modern couple’s survival against a crocodile. The film is directed by Bejoy Nambiar, who previously directed Wazir (2016), Taish (2020) and Dange (2024) in Hindi. From business point of view the track record was very weak. It will be interesting to see how his latest directorial venture performs at the box office.
