Trump White House withdraws nomination for ‘mortgage cases’

The White House said on Saturday that the Trump administration has withdrawn the nomination of Adam Bohaler as a special presidential messenger for mortgage cases.

Bohaler, who is working to secure the release of hostages organized by Hamas in Gaza, will continue hostage-related work as a so-called “special government employee”, a condition that will not require confirmation of the Senate.

White House spokesman Karolin Lewit said in a statement, “Adam Boheller will continue to serve President Trump, who focuses on hostage dialogue as a special government employee.”
