Actress Tripti Dimri has finally reacted to fans calling her the ‘national crush’, especially after the success of ‘Animal’. The ‘Bad Newz’ actress saw newfound popularity for herself after starring in the Ranbir Kapoor film. She will next be seen in ‘Bad Newz’, which also stars Vicky Kaushal and Amy Virk.

At the trailer launch of ‘Bad Newz’, Tripti Dimri spoke about how fans call her the ‘National Crush’. She said, “In my experience, luckily, I would like to thank God, because, in my experience, it has been the opposite; all the films that I have done in my career, whether they are old films that I did earlier, or the ones that have released recently, I have received a lot of love from my audience. People have loved my work and talked about it.”

Tripti Dimri said, “Initially when I came into the industry, I always wanted people to talk about my work and nothing else. Luckily, when my films released, they talked about my work. I think these things motivate us actors to do better in life and keep working on our craft and I think I have been very lucky in that way.”

In an exclusive chat with IndiaToday.in, Tripti spoke about ‘Animal’ and said that when she started her journey, she had only 2-3 people in mind whom she wanted to work with and one of them was Ranbir Kapoor. “I have always said that I am a fan of Ranbir Kapoor and I got a chance to work with him. When I started out, I wanted to work with Ranbir and ‘Animal’ became the medium for that. I look up to him as a role model, as someone who is very honest in his performance. He has a great command over his craft and that’s what you want as an actor. That was one of the major reasons for me to say yes to the film.”

Tripti has several projects in the pipeline. After ‘Bad News’, ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and ‘Dhadak 2’.
