The latest Malayalam film, Bha Bha Bha, opened with Rs. 7.25 crores on first day at Kerala box office. The spoof action drama, starring Dileep in the lead role and Mohanlal in a guest role, emerged as the second biggest opener of 2025 among Malayalam films at the Kerala box office.
Directed by Dhananjay Shankar, Bhaa Bhaa is set to have great performances ahead and may cement its place among the highest-grossing films of all time. The top 10 list includes four Mohanlal films, including Bha Bha Bha, where the actor was seen in an extended cameo role. The other three L2s were: Empuraan, Thoodaram, and Hridayapurvam.
For the record, L2:Empuran took the top spot with a historic opening day figure of Rs. 14 crores. Thudram secured the third position with Rs. 5.10 crores, while Hridayapurvam made Rs. 3.25 crores on opening day. Mammootty’s Kalamkaval and Bazooka also made it to the list with Rs. 5 crores and Rs. 3.25 crores respectively on the first day.
The upcoming two Christmas Day releases – Mohanlal starrer Vrishabh and Nivin Pauly’s Sarvam Maya are also expected to secure their place in the top 10 list. It will be interesting to see how these two last Malayalam bets of 2025 perform at the box office.
