The film surpassed Jawan’s lifetime collection upon its release and is currently the number one Hindi film of all time. Recent big releases Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again collectively failed to match Stree 2’s numbers, however, is among the top 25 Hindi films of all time to perform well at the box office.

Stree 2, the sequel to Stree (2018), hits screens on August 15, 2024. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 set a new benchmark at the box office before even leaving the theatres. The film, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, grossed a massive Rs 837 crore worldwide and Rs 585 crore in Hindi during its theatrical run. It ranks first in the list of top Hindi films of all time.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has proved to be a superhit at the box office. Helmed by Kartik Aaryan, the horror comedy has collected Rs 237 crore nett in India so far and is expected to reach Rs 244 crore by the end. Despite the controversy with the big budget film Singham Again, Karthik’s film is ahead in the race. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is at 20th place. Interestingly, in 2019, Uri: The Surgical Strike also took its lifetime collection to Rs 244 crore nett in Hindi.

Ajay Devgan starrer Singham Again has achieved good numbers at the ticket window. Starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Police Action has earned Rs 232.50 crore in India so far and is likely to end with a collection of Rs 240 crore. The fifth installment of Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe is lagging behind its rival releases and is ranked 21st in the list. Singham Again is a step up from Simmba.
The theatrical collections of both Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again are likely to end up around Rs 245 crore.
