Earlier, Aamir Khan had similar records, with his films being the top two on multiple occasions, including 3 Idiots and Ghajini (2009), PK and Dhoom 3 (2014) and Dangal and PK (2016).

Dhurandhar: The Revenge is also the first Hindi film to reach Rs. 800 crore net benchmark. The film was comfortably priced at Rs. 900 crore nett, and then aims to reach Rs. 1000 crore nett. Working in its favor are the coming two more open weeks, supported by several holidays. It is not that it could not reach Rs. If there was competition, the net would have been Rs 1000 crores; This would certainly have increased the amount of uncertainty compared to present.

There has been growth in business over the years, inflation and taxation have come down, but this growth seems to be happening only to the big earners, as the overall business is not seeing the same. Much of this is due to the decline in release volume, which is again allowing big-grossing films to earn more than before, and the erosion of the theatrical base for small and medium films due to streaming.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge has now crossed the record business of Rs 1 crore. 500 crore nett, possibly to double it. Ramayana Part One will be released later this year and Part Two will be released next year, which will test the potential of Hindi cinema box office.
