It lags behind Chhawa (223,000 tickets) and Sikander (143,000 tickets) as the third best selling Bollywood film for Housefull 5 to 2025.
However, these figures, in the best form, are of average for a franchise, which are known for their collective appeal and star-stad cast. Fans and business analysts expected a very strong advance numbers, given the brand value of the houseful series.
Other Bollywood releases such as RAID 2 (86,000 tickets), Sky Force (52,000 tickets), and crooks Ravikumar (47,500 tickets) are behind Housefull 5, but the difference is not as wide as it will be expected for a film on this scale. Films like Kesari 2 (33,000 tickets), emergency (27,000 tickets) and JAT (20,000 tickets) are out of the list.
We had told that Raid 2 sold 93,000 tickets in the top national series for the initial day in our list. To clarify, RAID 2 sold 93,000 tickets by the morning of release day. At midnight, the total ticket sales were 86,000.

Outside the top national chains, Housefull 5 has performed better, especially in single-screen theater and small centers. However, even these numbers are not as impressive as they should be for a franchise that thrives on the family audience.
The film’s advance booking for the weekend shows the hope of a ray. Families eager to enjoy a light-hearted comedy during the festive holiday have inspired relatively strong ticket sales for Saturday and Sunday. This can give the film a very important boost in the early weekends.
Financially, Housefull 5 is in a decent place before its dramatic release. The manufacturers have already recovered 60 percent of the film’s budget through non-drainage revenue, such as satellites, digital and music rights. To declare a hit for Housefull 5, it needs to be targeted at ticket counters. It should be more than Rs 200 crore in India and more than Rs 325 crore worldwide so that the hit tag can be obtained.
