Top 5 of Akshay Kumar’s opening weekend at Indian box office: Bhoot Bangla takes 5th position, Housefull 5 rules

Akshay Kumar’s recent release film Bhoot Bangla is performing well at the box office. The horror comedy recorded a good weekend of Rs 1 crore. Earning ₹55.75 crore at the Indian box office, it became Akshay Kumar’s highest opening weekend till date, earning 5th position. It managed to outperform Housefull 3 and all their other releases after the pandemic, except Housefull 5 and Sooryavanshi.

Both these titles are currently in the top two positions. The #1 position belongs to Housefull 5, which earned Rs. Earned more than. Earned Rs 79 crore in its first weekend, surpassing Sooryavanshi’s Rs. 76.75 crore net weekend. That said, Bhoot Bangla emerged as Khiladi Kumar’s third-highest weekender in the post-pandemic era. But since this list is about Akki’s all-time weekend openers, the third and fourth positions go to Mission Mangal and Good Newwz respectively. Check out the full list below.

Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhoot Bangla stars Wamiqa Gabbi alongside Akshay Kumar. The film stars an ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, Jisoo Sengupta, Mithila Palkar, Late Asrani and others. It will be interesting to see how the film performs at the box office.

Now all eyes are on the weekend screenings of Welcome to the Jungle. If all goes well, Akshay Kumar’s next release will not only make it to this list but will also have the potential to challenge number 1.
