Malayalam film Vaazhav 2 created history by recording the biggest ever opening weekend for a newcomer star cast. When compared to all-time releases, the film ranked fourth among the biggest opening weekends at the worldwide box office. It left behind some of the biggest movies of Mollywood – Loca Chapter One – Chandra, Aadujeevitham, Lucifer, Sarvam Maya, Bheeshma Parva, Turbo and others.
For the record, Wazaa 2 earned Rs. Earned more than. 67 crores in its 4-day opening weekend, of which around Rs. Rs 26.50 crore came from Kerala alone. This film directed by Savin Da is performing very well so far. Based on current trends, it will cross Rs. 100 crore worldwide earning by the end of the first week.
Talking about the all-time weekend list, L2 Empuraan remains on the top. The Mohanlal starrer had earned huge collections in its opening weekend. 175.60 crores, which is still a dream for others.
