To stab his driver on salary dispute against filmmaker Manish Gupta

A case has been registered against Bollywood director Manish Gupta, who allegedly stabbing his driver after a dispute over a latter salary. Police said on Friday that a complaint was lodged at Versova police station by 32 -year -old driver Rajbul Islam Lashkar.

The incident took place at Gupta’s residence in Sagar Sanjog Building on Thursday night, an officer of a Versova police station confirmed. Gupta allegedly stabbed his driver, who has been working with him for more than three years with a kitchen knife.

Gupta has been booked voluntarily to cause serious injuries with a dangerous weapon voluntarily under Section 118 (2), 115 (2), and 352 Indians, which deliberately insults with the intention of inciting peace violations and other related crimes. However, he has not been arrested yet, the official said.

Lashkar advocate, Ali Kashif Khan Deshmukh has demanded immediate arrest of Gupta.

However, according to Afternoon Report, Gupta’s lawyer Dinesh Tiwari denied the claims, tried to withdraw money.

He said, “My client, the allegation against Mr. Manish Gupta is baseless and false. It is nothing, but an attempt to withdraw money from it. The complainant, Mr. Rabijul has a criminal history – he first cheated a bank and is a pending criminal case.”

He said, “The complainant, directed by many of his relatives and friends, has coined the entire issue as a pressure strategy to withdraw money from my customer. We are in the process of starting criminal proceedings against him to provide false information to a public servant and file a fake cedar.”

Manish Gupta is also known for directing films like ‘Section 375’, ‘The Stoneman Murders’ and ‘420 IPC’. His most recent direction was the venture ‘One Friday Night’. It starred Raveena Tandon and Milind Soman.
