TN 2026 is the story of Kulkanth Kumar, a North Indian man who comes to Chennai to earn his livelihood and unexpectedly becomes a lead actor. Despite his flawed Tamil pronunciation, he gained immense popularity among the audience.

Shivalinga Mandradiyar, a wealthy landlord, is astonished to see Kulakantha’s resemblance to his idol MG Ramachandran. After learning about Kulkanth’s troubled past, she decides to support him, thereby inadvertently making him a superstar.

Mandradiyar then takes strategic steps to push Kulakanth into politics, in the hope that he will become the next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The rest of the film serves as a satirical commentary on the film industry and politics.
