Kamal Haasan starrer Thug Life has been slated to hit a big screen on 5 June 2025. Next to the release of the film, Silambaron TR reflected on sharing the screen with an experienced actor, while Trisha Krishnan re-recalled his experience with his deprived Vinathandi Varuvaya co-star.
Talking about his experience of working on the film, Silambarson TR said, “This film is like a dream. Generally, when we watch Mani Sir’s films, we want to be a part of him. Similarly, Kamal Sir is my onscreen guru. Now, all of them are real to be together in a film.”
The actor said that it was difficult to shoot the film in his early days, as he was making a balance between Haasan and Ratnam. However, he said how Kamal Haasan felt very comfortable him.
On the other hand, Trisha Krishnan was excited to reunite with his VTV co-star and said, “Acting with Simbu is always asking that we will work together again after Vinathanandi Varuvaya. You will see our magic a little bit in it.”
Additionally, the actress said that she feels that her dreams are coming true with this film.
For the film itself, the thugs are a gangster action flick directed by Life Mani Ratnam. The film, co-written by Ratnam and Kamal Haasan, marks the renovation of the actor and director after many years, dating back to her first cooperation in Naikan.
The upcoming flick also features Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lectmi, Jujo George, Abhirami, Nasar, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanya Malhotra and a cloth artist in many other lead roles.
On April 18, 2025, the film has been prepared musically by AR Rahman, along with manufacturers unveiling the first single, Jingucha.
Regarding Silambarson TR’s work front, the actor will appear in the film next time under the title Str49. In addition, he has announced his cooperation for a fantasy film with Dragon director Ashwath Marimuthu.
On the other hand, Trisha Krishnan has a lineup of films including Surya 45, Vishwabhambha, and much.
