Lokesh Kanagarj is one of the most famous filmmakers in South Indian cinema. The talented director has secured a special place in the hearts of many people who have made miracles at the box office due to their power-pack action films. However, there was a time when Lokesh was eager to cast a particular star in one of his projects and even wrote a full script for the same.
In an old interview during an event for his film Leo, Lokesh Kanagarj expressed his desire to cooperate with the Malayalam star Fahd Fasil, who is known for giving some of the most spectacular performances.
Coolie director revealed that he had written a script for a police drama called Mufti, imagining Fahd in the role of a policeman. The plot revolves around its misfit uniform, sent for change, triggering a chaotic chain of events within two hours of intervals.
He had said, “I wrote Mufti keeping in mind the Fahd Fasil. This is a story that revolves around the uniform of a policeman. The uniform does not fit it, so he decides to send it for change. What happens in those two hours, makes the story cracks.”
However, it seems that the film seems to have never become physical, and the script did not develop in a complete action, such as Lokesh is known for crafting on the big screen.
Now fast forward, the director is set to cooperate with Tamil icon Rajinikanth for the first time in his upcoming film Cool. The film claims a contingent of actors characterized by some of the biggest names of the industry. It is expected to be a mass entertainer, which is packed with a nerve-racking action sequence.
In addition to the cool, there is a discussion about another temporary project of Benz, titled Benz, which will mark the fourth installment in Lokesh Kanagarj Universe (LCU).
Returning to Fahd Fasil, the talented Malayalam star was last seen in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, where he reiterated his role as Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat. Moving forward, he has several exciting projects, including MMMN – an ignorant film that features Mohanlal and Mamooty.
