Shahrukh Khan has always been appreciated for his gentle and respectful behavior, especially towards his co-stars. King Khan shares a special bond with his former co-star Deepika Padukone. Recently, we came across an old video in which the superstar admitted that he would do anything for his Chennai Express co-star, including climbing the highest mountains and swimming in the deepest sea. This gave him a chance to get a kiss on his cheeks from Deepika, who was happy to hear his words.
Deepika Padukone made her Bollywood debut with Om Shanti Om opposite Shahrukh Khan. The film was a big hit and his career in the industry was established. Since then, the actress has maintained a good friendship with the Donkey star. Later, they worked together in Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express. Again, the film was a critical and commercial success. At the same time, the onscreen chemistry between Shahrukh and DP also became a topic of discussion.
In one of the behind-the-scenes videos of the song Titli, shared by the film’s music partner T-Series, we got a better look at the cordial bond between the actors. In a scene from that song, Shah Rukh’s character Rahul carries Deepika’s character Meenamma in his arms to climb the 100 steps of the temple as a ritual.
Talking about the same during the filming of the scene, the actor in his witty style said, “For Deepika, I can do anything—climbing the house, climbing the highest mountain, and swimming in the deepest sea. So, hundred steps is nothing for DP.” Deepika, who was passing by, also heard this and kissed the superstar on his cheek.
She teased Deepika Padukone, saying, “In Om Shanti Om, it was fire, it was mountains, and the third film we do will be in water, and that will be the most interesting time to see Deepika.” The actress laughed and She started throwing small things at Shahrukh, who was laughing at her.
Later, they starred with each other again in Happy New Year and Pathan. Furthermore, the actress played a small role in Jawan for SRK and mentioned in an interview with The Week that she and the Zero star have a lucky attraction for each other and have a feeling of ownership over each other.
On the work front, Deepika recently embraced motherhood and welcomed her baby girl, while Shahrukh will next be seen in Sujoy Ghosh’s King.
