Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s love story is one that will live forever and sorry, but we can’t stop talking about them. But did you know that Deepika has more to offer to Ranveer Singh than what the two think of each other? During her appearance at an award show, Deepika named ‘food’ as the first thought that comes to her mind before her husband.
When the show’s host Kartik Aaryan asked Deepika about the strangest rumour she has heard about herself, she replied, “It is not a rumour but a popular belief that since I am a celebrity, I eat less, but it is not true.” Padukone said that she loves to eat and is a great foodie. She further added, “Actually I think about food more than Ranveer.”
When asked about his favourite food item, our South Indian heartthrob took the name of ‘Rasam Chawal’ to which Ranveer shouted from the audience, “Yes I feed you with my hands”. This one line made the entire internet love Singh as the biggest green jungler, and we completely agree.

Interestingly, Deepika and Ranveer’s first meeting also had a food connection. During their famous appearance on Koffee with Karan, the couple had revealed that they met for the first time at the residence of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, director of their first collaboration film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.
Describing Deepika Padukone’s entry, Ranveer had said, “So these heavy doors open and a gust of wind comes in from the sea, and there she is in a white chikankari dress, like the epitome of simplicity. Her hair was flying and that’s how she walked in, and I was like ‘Oh my God.'”
Bhansali fed them several ‘exotic dishes’, including crab and a piece of it got stuck in Deepika’s teeth. When Ranveer gently pointed this out, his wife opened her mouth and said, “Really? Clean it.” Ranveer explained that the feeling was like he had put his “hand in a socket” and added that he “received a 440-volt shock that day”.
The two got married in 2018 and their first child is expected to be born in September this year.
