This is the golden time of cinema: Chunky Pandey on changing times in the film industry
Veteran actor Chunky Pandey reflected the detailed preparation in filmmaking and change towards scientific approach. He called it the golden age of cinema with various platforms providing new opportunities for actors across India.

Veteran actor Chunky Pandey, known for his spontaneous attraction and comic timing, has recently been opened about how much the film industry has developed in years – especially when it comes to science behind preparations and filmmaking today.
Speaking specially with India today, ‘Akhane’ actor said, “Yes, every day there is a surprise. Today, I am most surprising that actors prepare a lot for films. It’s very surprising – first, they were not really ready. Now, it’s a very good thing. I mean, I have also started preparing for films.”
The actor, who has seen industry infection for decades, considered how the film production has been more carefully and calculated. He said, “There is a lot of effort. I would not just say effort, but today there is a science behind making films,” he explained, “In our days, there was a science too – but this science was fun. Everything happened on the set. We used us. We used that era.”
Despite the apathy, Chunky is optimistic and excited about the current cinematic landscape. “This is the golden time of cinema – today there are many options. Big cinema, OTT, television, Instagram, YouTube. I think it’s the best time to be around. You can sit in Kolkata and become a star.”
Asked whether there was a film that he would like to re -release to today’s audience, he said, ‘Vishwatma’ (1992). I like that film very much, it is my favorite of my own films. ,
