Madhavan has clarified that he is not a part of Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Universe’s upcoming film Benz, although reports have suggested his participation.
Rumors were rife that actor Madhavan has been cast as the villain in the upcoming film Benz directed by Bakkiaraj Kannan, starring Raghava Lawrence in the lead role. However, Madhavan has now clarified that he is not involved in the much-awaited project of Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Universe (LCU).
Madhavan expressed surprise while addressing the rumors on X and clarified that he was not approached for Benz. He said, “Hey this is news to me. (laughter emoji) As exciting as it sounds and I would love to be a part of such a universe. I am surprised by this news because I have no clue about it.” Here is the post:
Benz makes a unique entry into LCU Because this is the first film in the universe which will not be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, although he has written the story and is producing it. The film was announced in April, and a teaser featuring Raghava Lawrence was released on his birthday in October. Meanwhile, Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently directing Coolie with superstar Rajinikanth. Madhavan is set to appear in upcoming films like Test, Shankara and Dhurandhar.
