Oh, another season of ‘The White Lotus’, another group of rich, clules vacationers, which is leading towards their unavoidable sick outing. If you have ever wondered what happens when you put unlimited cocktails and zero self-awareness in a foreign heaven with self-absorbed nobles-well, Mike White has created a whole franchise by answering that question. .

Season 3 takes us to Thailand, transiting the beaches of Hawaii and Sicily for a new brand of luxury, spiritual tourism, and of course, adjacent disaster. The formula is still working, but you can surprise yourself: can the show surprise us? The answer is… like.

Once again on the hull with producer Mike White, the show has continued its signature mixture of satire, conspiracy and dark humor. So far, the formula of a show is familiar: the magnificent setting, cuts the social satire, and at least a dead body. This time, however, the twist and twist feel a bit more approximate. This does not mean that they are less attractive. Even if the white lotus is not as shocking as before, it remains a show that draws you with a mixture of sharp humor, unabated and underlying darkness.

The first couple of the episode takes a little longer to ignite, but once things arise, the season finds its groove. The pacing is more relaxed, the dull, reflects the tropical vibe. You feel like a guest in yourself, louna the poolside because the secrets slowly open and boil stress. Humor razor-sharp remains, with some standout moments that cut through prediction. A story, in particular, provides a really unexpected shock – a reminder that still has some tricks above her sleeves in the white.

Performance-wise, the artist performs a solid work, in which a delicious toxic dynamic is brought in his roles with Posey and Issac. Gogins is another highlight, playing the role of a character between attraction and chaos. Lisa, while not much to be given, is placed with himself in the show with experienced actors dominated.

So far, White Lotus has established itself as HBO’s Go-to-Plagist Vacation Thriller, which is a satire with enough stress to keep us bent. But with each new season, it becomes easier to predict the formula. Are rich people behaving badly? check. Ethical Rethinking? One type. A dead body? obviously. The challenge to move forward would be whether the white can keep the concept fresh without feeling like a great reality show.

Despite its flaws, season 3 is undisputedly entertaining. It cannot reach a high level of its predecessors, but it still offers a compelling mix of dark comedy, social criticism and mystery. For now, White Lotus is worth a holiday – just it is not expected to feel completely new.
