The trailer of Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Vijay Varma’s ‘Mirzapur 3’ will be released on June 20. On Tuesday, the makers of the crime-thriller announced this with a new poster. Ahead of its grand release on Prime Video next month, here’s all you need to know about the cast, crew, plot and premiere date of the series.

Sharing the poster on Instagram, the makers captioned, “You will get a glimpse of this game of thrones – deceit, checkmate#MirzapurOnPrime official trailer releasing on 20th June.”

The much-awaited third installment of the popular ‘Mirzapur’ series will be available on Prime Video from July 5. The makers shared the announcement teaser a week ago.

The teaser opens with Ali Fazal’s character Guddu, who returns to Mirzapur’s throne after defeating Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi). The teaser then goes on to give a glimpse of other characters including Shweta Tripathi, Isha Talwar and Vijay Verma, who delve deeper into the saga of power, revenge, ambition and complex family dynamics.

Set in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, the series revolves around a rich businessman (Pankaj Tripathi) who is deeply involved in the local mafia while managing a carpet export business. The story takes a dramatic turn when two ordinary people meet the mafia boss’s son (Divyendu). Exploring themes of power, deception, desire, camaraderie and violence, the story delves into the complex layers of human nature.

Mirzapur 3 boasts of a stellar cast with Pankaj Tripathi as Akhandanand Tripathi, Ali Fazal as Guddu, Shweta Tripathi Sharma as Golu, Rasika Duggal as Beena Tripathi, Harshita Gaur as Dimpy, Vijay Varma, Anjum Sharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Meghna Malik, Manu Rishi Chaddha, Sheeba Chaddha and Rajesh Tailang along with talented supporting cast.

Created and produced by Excel Media and Entertainment, the fan-favourite crime-thriller is directed by Gurmeet Singh and Anand Iyer. This ten-episode crime saga will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on July 5, 2024.
