As the world reels from the end of the original Stranger Things series last year, the Duffer Brothers return to the world with an animated tale, but this time it has a twist. The eleven, Mike Wheeler, Will Byers, Dustin Henderson, Lucas Sinclair and Max Mayfield, is back together. Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 takes place in an ongoing animated series based on the events of 1985, when the friendly group discovers some threats to humanity and go underground to save themselves. The Upside Down is filled with a new emergence, a plant-like creature that threatens their peaceful existence.
The Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 ending
Even as the group of friends and their new partner Nikki discover the spores and eliminate as many of them as possible, new threats continue to emerge. Concerned as to where their source of origin is, they discover that strange plants are sprouting from above and hitting the open gate with each rise. They must prevent the monster from fully opening the gate in order to protect the real world from its inherent possibilities.
It is revealed that Hawkins Food Mart clerk Daniel Fisher was conducting experiments that led to the creation of the Queen, a scary, green presence. In what he believed to be a harmless endeavor, he created a network of demons. The friends work together with their demon-killing weapons and get rid of the creature by trapping it in a door between the alternate dimension and the real world.
A Demogorgon-faced flower is shown at the end, marking the beginning of what could become a central plot point for stories to come.
