Samsung is set to host its Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22, where it is expected to unveil four new smartphones including the traditional lineup: the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, the fourth device promises to be something special. Samsung is rumored to announce the Galaxy S25 Slim, which is said to be the thinnest phone released by the company so far. There has been speculation about this “slim” phone for a long time. Interestingly, Apple is also rumored to be working on something similar this year. But the burning question still remains: how thin will this phone be? The latest leak on the Galaxy S25 series may finally have the answer.

In a new report, SmartPrix and OnLeaks have shared some high-quality 5K renders of the Galaxy S25 Slim.

Looking at the renders, the Galaxy S25 Slim lives up to its name, measuring just 6.4mm in thickness without the camera module and 8.3mm with it – an impressive feat when most phones came in between 8mm to 10mm before adding the camera bump. Are. For context, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to be 8.2mm thick without the bulge, which makes slim a standout.

Samsung’s pursuit of slimness doesn’t compromise screen size. According to reports, the Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to sport a 6.7 to 6.8-inch display, which will fit into a compact frame measuring 159 x 76 x 6.4 mm. By comparison, the Galaxy S25 Ultra measures 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm, making the Slim 3.8 mm shorter, 1.6 mm narrower, and 1.8 mm thinner.

Design-wise, the Galaxy S25 Slim remains in line with the aesthetics of the S25 series. It has a metal frame, glass back and triple rear camera setup. The bezels are extremely thin, in line with the rest of the lineup. The flat frame complements the flat volume rockers and a power button, while the bottom houses a USB-C port, a single speaker grille, and a microphone.

The Slim’s flat display mirrors the design choices seen in the S25 series, offering a similar but sleek appearance. In terms of slimness, it surpasses Samsung’s previous record-holder, the Galaxy A8, which was 4.9mm thick but only packed a 3,050mAh battery. The Galaxy S25 Slim manages to combine its ultra-thin profile with a large battery and cutting-edge internals, proving that slim doesn’t have to mean sacrificing functionality.

The Galaxy S25 Slim will be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event next week. However, reports suggest that the phone will go on sale sometime later this year. We will know about the launch and sale timeline of the phone in the event to be held on January 22.
