Prabhas’ upcoming film ‘The Raja Saab’ is going to be released on the big screen soon. Touted to be India’s biggest horror-comedy, The Raja Saab started its advance bookings in North America a few days ago. Here’s how well the film is doing in its pre-bookings.
Directed by Maruthi, the horror-comedy grossed over US$562K by selling approximately 20,000 tickets across 1180 shows at 419 venues in the United States. Total pre-sales in North America reached US$590K on the day of the premiere. Progress has been normal so far, but the film is now starting to see good progress. The jump in pre-sales from Sunday to Monday was impressive. The same is expected to continue for the last 3 days before the grand premiere.
Raja Saab is releasing in theaters along with Thalapathy Vijay starrer Jan Nayagan and Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. When compared to the Tamil film, the Prabhas starrer is lagging behind despite having relatively more shows. Advance booking for The Raja Saab in its home state is set to begin soon. It will be interesting to see how well the film performs at the box office.
For those unaware, The Raja Saab is releasing on January 9, 2026, which coincides with the Sankranti festival. The film also stars Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani and others. Apart from The Raja Saab, Prabhas will have one more release this year, Fauji.
