The Raja Saab: 8-minute scene of Prabhas in aged look added amid fan criticism
Prabhas’ eight-minute look has been added to director Maruthi’s horror-comedy ‘The Rajasaab’ amid criticism from fans. The film was released theatrically on January 9, 2026.

Horror-comedy of director Maruthi Honourable King (2026) Prabhas faced criticism on various aspects, including some scenes in the trailer that were not shown in the film. In response to the response, the makers held a press conference in Hyderabad on Saturday and announced that new footage – including scenes featuring Prabhas in his old look – has now been added to the film.
Maruti said at a press conference, “Prabhas’ fans are not disappointed with the film, but not satisfied either. That’s because we have shown him in the old getup in the trailer with an attitude and swag. In the process of exploring that look, the fans’ minds could not process the story I was showing.” Hindustan Times,
He revealed that many people asked him about the scenes featuring Prabhas’s old look. ,With this in mind, I sat down yesterday evening to sharpen up the second half of the film and include the missing scenes from today’s 6pm show. I am sure the 8-9 minute episode will be mind blowing. Till date, the fight scene on the rooftop has not been shown in any film. Prabhas worked very hard for this. Honourable King The director added.

Announcing the new addition, producer TG Vishwa Prasad of People’s Media Factory said, “There is 4 minutes of content in Prabhas’s old avatar which is missing in the film. A week ago, due to an unfortunate incident and server being down, we had the output, but it required cleanup and minor tweaks. We have done it and sent it to theaters now.” Vishwa also mentioned that the runtime of the film remains the same, but he cut out a part of the credits to add it.
Vishwa and Maruti also addressed the box office response Honourable King Upon its release. Vishwa asserted, “We are very happy. We expected it to cross the Rs 100 crore mark, but it made Rs 112 crore. Many families and children are coming to the theaters and appreciating it. Some intellectuals are giving mixed reactions and are digging too deep into the story.”
Maruthi concluded, “Intellectuals are discussing various themes of the film, and those who did not understand it are the ones who are cursing us. I have seen a lot of mixed reactions. I urge everyone not to be prejudiced about the film and let the outcome decide.”
