Mumbai is hosting two special screenings odyssey As part of its India premiere. The first screening held on Friday was attended by select media representatives, while Saturday’s screening has been reserved for members of the Indian film industry and invited celebrities.

Christopher Nolan is also expected to interact with the Indian media, ahead of the industry screening at the Taj Mahal Palace in Colaba.

YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani shared a post on X and expressed his love for Nolan’s The Odyssey. Chanchlani, who watched the film in theatres, wrote, “I loved #TheOdissi

He has made sure to present a story about Greek gods, magic and witches with as much realism as possible and that is why he is one of the greatest filmmakers of our time. Matt Damon described the moment as amazing and said that the team had already organized the premiere, but that the screening was for family and friends. He said that this was the first real audience they had stood in front of since the film and what it meant to the team was that the audience loved it. Damon said that hundreds of thousands of people had inspired themselves to make the film and said that it was “filmed entirely in IMAX”.

Actor Tom Holland also thanked the crowd for the welcome. He said that Indian audiences always welcomed him with warmth, happiness, enthusiasm, grace and love. He said that no one has brought energy to cinema halls like the audiences in India and thanked them for supporting Nolan’s work. Holland also said, “I can’t wait for this movie to get a sequel.”

Nolan was in India for shooting in 2019 Principle With John David Washington and Robert Pattinson. Earlier, he had visited the country in 2011 to shoot parts of the film the dark Knight Rises In Mehrangarh Fort of Jodhpur.

Speaking at the event, Nolan told the audience, “This is not the first time I have come to Mumbai, but this is the first time I have got a chance to launch a film here. So you are among the first audiences in the world to see this film.” Then he added, “Just a quick one, who was better, Matt or Tom? They’re both fantastic.”

Nolan thanked the audience for their warm welcome and said that it is always a pleasure to be in India.
