McClure wrote, “It is with a broken heart that I share that the talented Josh Grisetti took his own life on Friday…I am not ready to even try to understand. My heart goes out to his wife and family as they try to deal with the reality of this (case).”
The actor reflected on their close friendship offstage as well, revealing that he served as best man at Grisetti’s wedding.
“(My wife) and I are deeply saddened,” he wrote.
Paying tribute to his late friend, McClure said, “Communities around the world will never be the same without him. We love you Josh. Just a devastating loss,” before adding that details about the memorial service would be shared later.
