The Kerala Story 2 surpasses box office collection: Maintains good hold, collects Rs 20 crore in opening week

The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond continues to hold well at the box office. The film made Rs. Earned 2.25 crores on the seventh day, which is a decline of 25 percent from the previous day. The opening week of The Kerala Story 2 ended slightly above Rs. Earning 20 crores at the Indian box office.

Since Ranveer Singh doesn’t have a release till Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, the film will continue to gain popularity for the next two weeks, taking its total to a solid level for a film like this, which is worth no face value. However, there are some IPs associated with it, which is helping in its collection.

The original film was a blockbuster, earning Rs. Collected Rs 6.75 crore and Rs. Earned Rs 220 crore during his entire tenure. Being a sequel to a big blockbuster, generally big numbers are expected, but that is not the case here. Some films from the region enjoyed major success in early 2020, but have seen a decline since then. For example, The Bengal Files fell below The Kashmir Files. Kashmir Files 2 will also see a big drop from the original, but it will perform well for its cost.

After Sunny Deol’s Border 2, Kerala Story 2 has the potential to become Hindi cinema’s second hit film of 2026. It will be interesting to see how well the film does going forward.
