Cool has emerged as the fifth largest grossing Kollywood film of all times, which is the largest ever. Rajinikanth starrer Rs. 463.50 crores worldwide as tomorrow. 294.50 crore is coming from the domestic market and Rs. 169 crore (USD 19.35 million) from abroad.
This is probably going to be final for the film in the all-time list, as it is unlikely to overtake the fourth place on Ponyin Cellwan: I. Three films ahead of Cool are 2.0, Leo and Jailor, each of whom earned more than the rupee. 600 crores worldwide. Expectations for Cool were to join all three, perhaps keep them on top. While the film was beginning to reach there, the mixed reception has kept it small, and now it is Rs. 500 crores.
