The Devil Trailer: Darshan’s dark avatar and dialogues promise mass entertainment

The trailer of the much-awaited film The Devil starring Darshan was released today. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 11, with the addition of morning shows for fans.

Director and producer Prakash Veer, of Milan And Vanshi Fame builds the trailer around a tense confrontation, relying on mass appeal rather than highlighting the nuances of the plot. Cinematographer Sudhakar S Raj’s shadow-filled frames and Ajaneesh Loknath’s pensive score create a contemplative setup, heightening the sense of conflict from multiple fronts. A key line – “Nan Bertha Edney Chinna” (I’m coming, darling) – anchoring the trailer, a glimpse of Darshan’s character sporting massive swag will be seen on screen.

Darshan is seen in a charming avatar, which is completely different from his previous roles, where he seemed more down to earth with a rural flavour.
