Actor Dhanush released its first look Thamizh Murugan On Friday, he revealed an attractive image from his fifth film with director Vetri Maran. The poster shows Dhanush riding on an elephant, standing in front of a large army and brandishing the Vel, the sacred spear associated with Lord Murugan.

The announcement has also drawn attention to its cultural context. The film’s title and imagery link it closely to Tamil identity, with Lord Murugan having a special place in Tamil Nadu, where he is revered as Thamizh Kadavul or the god of the Tamil people. The first-look video and poster have also sparked online buzz about another upcoming film based on the story of Lord Murugan.
