Tamil actor Jayam Ravi, who recently announced his separation from his wife Aarti, has now opened up on the rumours of his link-up with singer Kenisha Francis. Speaking to the media outside Sathyam Theatre in Chennai, the popular actor requested everyone not to malign Kenisha’s name in the matter. He also revealed that he plans to start a healing centre with the singer in the future.

Jayam announced his separation from Aarti through a post on social media earlier this month. However, his estranged wife later released a different statement, claiming that she was not aware of the affair and the statement was released without her consent. Soon after the announcement, a Tamil magazine claimed that Jayam was having an affair with Kenisha and the two used to meet in Goa. On Saturday, September 21, the actor told the media that there was no truth to the rumours of their affair.

He said, “Live and let live. Don’t drag anyone’s name into this. People are talking random things. Don’t get involved in such antics. Keep your personal life private. Kenisha is someone who has sung in 600 stage shows. She has moved ahead in life with her hard work. She is a healer who has saved many lives. She is a licensed psychologist. Please don’t involve her in this.”

Jayam Ravi said that these rumours might ruin his future plans for the welfare of the common people. He said, “Kenisha and I have plans to start a healing centre in the future. That is our aim. We want to help many people. Please don’t spoil it. No one can spoil it. Don’t involve anyone unnecessarily.”

In his initial statement about the separation, Jayam highlighted that the decision was made after a lot of thought and discussion. His statement said, “After much thought, contemplation, and discussion, I have made the difficult decision to end my marriage with Aarti. This decision is not made in haste, but rather for personal reasons that I feel are in the best interest of everyone involved.”

However, in her later statement, Aarti wrote, “I am deeply shocked and saddened by the recent public announcement about our marriage, which was made without my knowledge or consent. After 18 years of shared history, I believe such an important matter should be handled with the decorum, respect, and confidentiality it deserves.”

Later none of them gave any clarification about their relationship.

Meanwhile, Jayam Ravi will next be seen in the Tamil film Brother. The teaser of the film was launched at a grand event on Saturday.
