Suriya, Trisha to reunite for upcoming RJ Balaji film: Report
Trisha Krishnan and Suriya are reportedly set to reunite after 18 years in a new project directed by RJ Balaji. The film has been tentatively titled Surya 45.
Trisha Krishnan has reportedly been signed on for Suriya’s upcoming project with director RJ Balaji, marking their collaboration after almost two decades. They last starred together in the 2005 film – Aaru.
This new project, tentatively titled Suriya 45, will be produced by Dream Warrior Pictures.
The production house announced the collaboration on October 14. Due to Trisha’s prior commitments, the shooting of the film is expected to begin in late November or early December in Coimbatore.
The music for the film will be composed by AR Rahman.
At the Kanguva audio launch, Balaji shared his excitement about directing Suriya, whom he has admired since college. He mentioned that this collaboration was possible due to Suriya’s faith in him and the script despite rejection from other directors.
With Kanguva receiving mixed responses, there are a lot of expectations around RJ Balaji’s film. Suriya’s next release will be a Tamil film directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
