Melagaon’s superboy, directed by Reema Kagti, is a hearty cinematic tribute to Dreams and Underdogs, inspired by the documentary ‘Superman of Malegaon’. There is a story around Nasir (Adarsh Gaurav), which works in a local film parlor, screening pirated films and combines footage of various films together to create exciting materials for the audience of Malegaon. When he is caught and forced to stop, he rolls his friends, to create an original parody of efficient, prestigious Sholay in a different aspect of each film production. With the title Sholay of Malegaon, his film becomes a local sensation, to give fame to Nasir. However, success proves to be fleeting as their subsequent decisions, stressing their relationships.
A talented writer, Ferf (Vineet Singh), leaves for Mumbai, while Irfan (Saqib Ayub) and Akram (Anuj Duhan) also flow. Only Shafiq (Shashank Arora) is loyal to acting in one of the flops of Nasir. Disillusioned with failure, Nasir left the film production until his friends reunite for a last shot on Gaurav with a superman-inspired project.

What works for Malegaon’s Superboy
The biggest strength of the film is its heart. It beautifully catchs the spirit of underdogs, which defies obstacles, often transforms the “Malegaon” label into a symbol of simplicity. Varun Grover’s dialogues inject the intellect and spoke in an otherwise simple base, which makes the characters trustworthy and their journey attractive. The first half shines with the thrill of energy, humor and creation, especially during the creation of Sholay of Malegaon. Reema Kagati’s direction still keeps the tone light poignant, and shines through the honesty of the film, offering a fresh perspective on small town aspirations. It is a love letter for cinema, which celebrates the joy of storytelling on a shosting budget.
What does Malegaon’s superboy not work
Despite its attraction, the film is particularly slower at the second half, where pacing loses drugs and narrative speed. Tight editing may trim a repeated scenes and accelerate emotional bets. This base, while sweet, at times seems highly simple, lacks a bold twist or deep conflict, which raises it beyond a good story. Except for these minor issues, the Superboy of Malegaon is a film that is definitely worth watching.

Performance in Superboy of Malegaon
The artists gave a knockout enclosure performance. In the form of Nasir, the unique pride is an emotional anchor, which easily balances ambition with vulnerability. Shafik of Shashank Arora brings calm loyalty and depth. Vineet Singh performs a strong and intense performance. In small roles, Saqib Ayub and Anuj Duhan shine. They add taste to the dynamic of the group. Manjiri effigy as Triupi, Fisty actress at Sholay in Malegaon, and Naseer’s assistant wife, Mascan Jeffrey lended warmth and authenticity. Every actor feels natural. His chemistry makes friendship reliable and the heart of the film, clear.
Final decision of Superboy of Malegaon
Malegaon’s superboy is an attractive, hearty, hearty for Dreams, which is influenced by the stellar performance and is a base that echoes with someone who dare to pursue a passion. Although it can benefit from tight editing and a sharp edge, its honesty and soul makes it the winner. Fans of Excel Entertainment’s slices-off-life storytelling will get a lot to love here.
