Sumona Chakraborty alleged that the car has also been collected by the Maratha protesters, raising security concerns

Actor Sumona Chakraborty shared that his car was gathered in a broad daylight by Maratha Kota protesters in South Mumbai, making him unprotected and weak. He criticized the lack of police presence and made fun of the incident to law, order and civil responsibility.

Actor Sumona Chakraborty shared a disturbing experience on social media, stating that his car was placed in a broad daylight by Maratha Kota protesters in South Mumbai. The incident occurred at 12:30 pm on Sunday when she was going from Colaba towards Fort, as the protests led by activist Manoj Jarang Patil entered their third day.

Describing the annoying details, Sumona claimed that her car was blocked by the protesters, in which a man was exploding on her bonnet, suppressing himself against the vehicle, and others used to hit the windows shouting “Jai Maharashtra” and laughing. He alleged that no police was present and he said that the episode made him feel insecure.

On Instagram, Sumona wrote, “This afternoon I am going from Colaba towards the fort. And suddenly my car has been blocked by a mob. A person exploded with an orange theft on his bonnet, smiling.

He further wrote that the roads were found to be with garbage and pavements, for the protesters to eat, sleep and even the reels. Calling it “the entire mockri of civic sense”, that He expressed his disappointment over the lack of governance,

Sumona said that despite being in Mumbai for years, she had never felt insecure till now. “But today, for the first time in the years, I felt really insecure in the widespread day’s light within the safety of my car. And I suddenly felt lucky- lucky that a male friend was with me. I could not help, but thought, if I was alone, what ??? (SIC).”

Expressing his frustration, the actor said, “Peaceful protests exist – we have seen them for more immediate reasons. And yet, are those who get down on the police. But complete chaos here. Full anarchy here. One by one by a civilian citizen, as a woman, and whoever loves this city, I leave her.

Meanwhile, Manoj Zrenge Maratha Kota movement continued on the third day at Azad Maidan in MumbaiJarang has demanded 10% reservation for the Marathas, recognizing them as a caste clan under the OBC category, to make them eligible for government jobs and education quota. The activist has been on an indefinite hunger strike since Friday to suppress their demand.
