Rajkummar Rao is currently enjoying the success of his horror-comedy film Stree 2. Earlier, in 2022, Varun Dhawan was seen in the film of the same genre, Bhediya, both directed by Amar Kaushik. So, when Rao was asked which of the films would be next, Bhediya 2 or Stree 2, the actor gave a clear answer.
While talking to Bollywood Hungama, the Srikant actor first said that he has no idea about this. But soon, he said that maybe Bhediya 2 will come next. Explaining his reason, Rajkummar Rao said that Bhediya 2 has not come but Stree 2 has come. The audience may get to see the sequel of the Varun Dhawan-led comedy horror film before the third installment of Stree hits the theatres.
When asked if he has any idea about Stree 3, the actor revealed that director Amar Kaushik has an idea. He said that the filmmaker has a basic idea ready for the film. “It will definitely be made and we will try to make it better than parts 1 and 2,” Rao said.
Stree 2 also stars Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana in key roles. The film made him top the charts, but Hansal Mehta’s Shahid won him the National Award for Shahid. However, in Pinkvilla’s Masterclass, he confessed that if he was offered the 2012 film today, he would have done it differently.
Rajkummar shared his thoughts, “Honestly, it happens with every film. You also evolve as a person. What I was when I did Shahid 10 years ago and today, I have more experience as a person. I have lived more life. I have become more mature in my thought process. I think it is a very natural process that every actor goes through. I think if you ask any actor how you would look back, they would say, I wish I could have done it now. It could have been different. I don’t know if better or not, but definitely different.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, he will next be seen in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala video alongside Tripti Dimri. The drama film is scheduled to release in theatres on October 11, 2024.
