‘Stree 2’ has emerged as the biggest blockbuster of 2024. Made on a modest budget, the film is now challenging big budget films like ‘Animal’ and ‘Jawaan’. The Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer is not only on its way to touch the Rs 500 crore mark, but is also rapidly moving towards the figure. On the 17th day, which was also its third Saturday, the film almost doubled its Friday collection and set a streak that many big films failed to achieve.

On August 31, i.e. the 17th day of the film’s release, ‘Stree 2’ earned a massive Rs 17.40 crore, while on the 16th day it had earned Rs 9.25 crore. The total collection of the film has now reached Rs 480.25 crore.

Needless to say, Not only will it cross the Rs 500 crore mark By the third week, it will not only gross over Rs 100 crore at the box office but will also challenge the lifetime collections of many other blockbuster films of recent times.

Directed by Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, the film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana. ‘Stree 2’ was released on August 15 and clashed with Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor’s ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh’s ‘Veda’ at the box office.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film is jointly produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande under their banners Maddock Films and Jio Studios.
