Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s horror-comedy Stree 2 is performing well in its fourth week as well. The Amar Kaushik-directed drama continues its impressive run at the box office. Maddock Movie has seen a drop of 10% from its fourth Monday and added Rs 3 crore to the final tally.
Stree 2 earned Rs 3 crore on fourth Tuesday, great trend continues
Starring Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, Tamannaah Bhatia and Akshay Kumar (cameo) along with Raj and Shraddha, Stree 2 has surpassed all expectations and has become a huge blockbuster for every stakeholder. The film earned Rs 3 crore on the 27th day of its release and this is not a usual case for medium budget films that too without any star faces. Stree 2 has earned a total of Rs 528.15 crore at the domestic box office in 27 days of its spectacular theatrical run.
The film has benefited from a long free run due to the lack of new releases. The numbers will keep rising for at least the next three weeks until Deewaara releases and who knows if it will even perform after that.
‘Stree 2’ becomes the highest grossing film in the 500 crore club
The horror-comedy directed by Dinesh Vijan was made on a moderate budget, making it the most profitable venture among all other Rs 500 crore films – Jawaan, Pathan, Animal, Gadar 2 and Baahubali 2. Reportedly, the film has registered the highest ROI, beating all other big films.
Stree 2 aims to surpass Jawaan’s lifetime Hindi nett collections (Rs 555.50 crore) by the end of its theatrical run and become the No. 1 film at the Hindi box office.
The film is doing well in overseas markets as well. Overall, its lifetime box office collection globally is expected to be Rs 800 crore or more.

Stree 2 begins where Stree ends. The slogans on the walls of Chanderi change from ‘O Stree kal aana’ to ‘O Stree raksha karna’ (O woman, please protect us). This time, there is a new ghost in the form of Sar-Kata (beheaded), who kidnaps women with modern thoughts and beliefs. Vicky (Rajkummar Rao) and his friends come together to find and fight the headless ghost, who has even more power than Stree.
