Stree 2 actor Pankaj Tripathi says ‘success shouldn’t spoil your mind’ as he reflects on the film becoming a massive hit.

Pankaj Tripathi was last seen in the horror-comedy film, Stree 2. The veteran Bollywood actor played the role of Rudra Bhaiya for which he was highly praised. Soon after its release this year, Amar Kaushik’s film broke many box office records and became a huge hit. During an interview, the actor reflected on the film’s success, saying that “Success shouldn’t spoil your mind.” Read on to know more!

While talking to Hindustan Times, Stree 2 actor Pankaj Tripathi said that it is a matter of great pleasure that such a modest budget film became a big blockbuster. But he also said, “But this success should not spoil your mind. One should remain stable (But success should not disturb the minds of artists. There should be peace.)”

The actor further said that the happiness that the audience got after watching the first part played a big role in bringing the audience to the theater for the sequel in the first weekend itself. Otherwise, the audience would have had to wait for the weekend to know the reviews and performances, but this is not the case for franchise films.

Having said that, he expressed that to create a franchise, it is not necessary to have a successful film. A film needs to be unique because sometimes, a film is successful but not unique. According to him, the woman fulfills both the requirements, hence this is one of the reasons for the tremendous success of the film at the box office. The Murder Mubarak star said that since he is an actor, he does not have expertise in the business side of films, but audiences are unpredictable and they change their tastes at any time.

For those unaware, Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Terror was written by Niren Bhatt and co-produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios. The fourth installment of the Maddock supernatural universe also stars Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana in lead roles. It also stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Varun Dhawan and Akshay Kumar in special roles.
