Stock market update: Stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE in today’s trade

New Delhi: Shares of Rashtriya Chemicals, FACT, CE Info Systems, Shraddha Infraproject and National Fertilizers touched their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday’s trade on the NSE.

The benchmark NSE Nifty rose 51.0 points to close at 23567.0 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks like SecUR Credentials, Divgi Torqtransfer, Kanani Inds, IndInfravit Trust and GIR Natureview touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 27 stocks in the Nifty 50 index closed in the green, while 23 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Hindalco, Grasim Ind., BPCL, JSW Steel and Adani Ports SEZ were among the top gainers during the day, while Hero MotoCorp, Sun Pharma, M&M, NTPC and Wipro ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex rose 141.34 points to close at 77478.93.

Traders held positions in the Fertilizer, Sugar, Irrigation & Allied Services, Miscellaneous and Petrochemicals sectors, while selling was seen in the Airlines, Tobacco, Metals – Non-Ferrous, Beverages – Alcoholic and IT Software sectors during the day.
