Newon Towers Ltd. (down 4.69%), Inox Wind Energy Ltd. (down 3.64%), India Power Corporation Ltd. (down 3.52%), Jyoti Structures Ltd. (down 3.35%), Indoind Energy Ltd. (down 2.94%) ), Suzlon Energy Ltd. (down 2.68%), Energy Development Company Ltd. (down 2.27%), KEC International Ltd. (down 2.26%), Ratan India Power Ltd. (down 2.23%) and KPI Green Energy Ltd. ( down) 2.21%) were among the day’s top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index rose 42.8 points to close at 25278.7, while BSE’s 30-share flagship index Sensex gained 194.07 points to close at 82559.84.
Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 3.34%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 3.23%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 3.05%), Hero Motocorp Ltd.(up 2.26%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 2.16%) SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd. .(up 2.08%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(1.67%), ITC Ltd.(1.63%), Axis Bank Ltd.(1.16%) and Britannia Industries Ltd.(1.15%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 2.49%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(2.27%), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.69%), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.49%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.38%), Divis Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.12%) , Bharti Airtel Ltd. (down 1.12%), Wipro Ltd. (down 1.11%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (down 1.02%) and Eicher Motors Ltd. (down 0.98%) closed in the red.
