Seeing the way Yogesh Rawat and Akanksha Choudhary were engrossed in each other in Splitsvilla 16, it seemed as if something romantic was going on between them. But after the wild card entry of Rawat’s ex-girlfriend Ruru Thakur, their relationship broke down and Yogesh left Akanksha in place of Ruru.
During an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Sussanne revealed that even among those who chose his ex-girlfriend over his connections, the former Roadies Double Cross contestant looked unhappy. “Yogesh was not happy,” Sussanne underlined.
He further added, “When true love comes in life, you will be very happy. It was not like that. The spark and aura that Yogesh had had diminished a lot after Ruru came, probably because he had guilt about Akanksha, and he was not able to love Ruru openly. (When your true love comes back, you become very happy. But that was not the case with Yogesh. His spark and aura started diminishing after Ruru came.) Perhaps because he was feeling guilty about Akanksha, and hence, he was not able to love Thakur completely.)

In the show, when Sussanne would ask Yogesh if he was really happy, he would start justifying things to her. But to Susan, it was quite clear that she was not happy. She often told Akanksha that she might have taken the decision to side with Ruru to save her image, thinking about what her ex-girlfriend’s family would think about her if she did not choose her and did not go with the connections she made on the show.
The situation was not clear to their friend Suzanne, who wanted to help Yogesh if he did not want to be in a relationship with Ruru Thakur. Further in the interview, Sussanne revealed that whenever she had a conversation with Yogesh on this topic, his possessive girlfriend would suddenly come and ask what they were discussing about the Miss Universe India 2025 finalists. “She didn’t let him talk to me much. He would talk to me only when Ruru was there,” Suzanne said.
